Serena Williams teases return to competitive tennis, says Tom Brady ‘started a really cool trend’
Serena Williams and Tom Brady are some of the names that have inspired lots of memes over the past weeks. And a tennis reporter just recently found herself doing a bit of a Serena Williams impression. When the time is right, though, she can do whatever she wants.
As noted by the Los Angeles Times, she was asked about the popularity of her tennis, which is now at an all-time high.
“I love it,” she said during a promotional event in Paris. “People have been asking me that for a while and I still think they’re just taking advantage of me. I know they’re just trying to do a good job. But I’m just having fun.”
She went on to tease her return to competitive tennis.
“I’m going to have to watch the first two or three months or so and see how I feel because I don’t know what it’s going to feel like. For the most part, I love it,” she said. “I love playing, and I love winning, and that’s all I care about. And then I really think after the first two or three months I’ll get back to some different habits and routines.”
The reporter who did a bit of a Serena Williams impression for this story, however, had mixed feelings about Williams’ return to competitive tennis.
“You know Serena, right? People can come on her Facebook page and say anything, and she takes it all in stride,” the reporter said. “But she knows when someone has the balls to ask her about her tennis, she has to be ready with a response that has a smile. So, yeah, I think she’
